Wrong simcard-told to go buy correct one in store!

I upgraded my contract through the vodacom upgrades depth telephonically on 12th December 2013. I ordered a samsung galaxy s4 mini with my contract upgrade, when I got delivery today, 17 December 2013, the delivered pack was the big simcard instead of the micro simcard. It's so frustrating that vodacom personnel will pack a cellphone handset with an incompatible simcard.!! I phoned the upgrades call centre (08217844), to seek assistance, I got absolutely no assistance other than 2 options:
1. A request for the correct simcard will be logged and I will receive the card in 3 working days! A rather rude lady cut me off after telling me this.
2. I called back and spoke to a guy who told me it will take forever (more than a week) for vodacom to send me the correct simcard. So he advised me to go in store and buy the micro simcard or get the big one I received cut to micro size.(all this at an additional cost to me).

This is daylight to me. I was charged a R150 upgrade fee for admin now I had to pay an additional R50 to cut the simcard. Why I'm I made to pay for Vodacom employees mistakes. Why charge an upgrade fee - then mess the upgrade? I want correct sim plse!
