No choice contract with Telkom

I wanted ADSL for a long time but was holding back till there was an alternative supplier rather than Telkom but eventually I gave in & applied for a line on 19.12.13. A week later 27.12.13 I went to check on progress & was told it was on hold for whatever reason & the installation was reinstated & be done by the 8.1.13. On 31.12.13 an installer came out and said there was a problem with exchange will be back in 2 days.6 days later installer fits line & says problem on line will be back JUST NOW with my equipment (modem etc). Wife went to Telkom direct to collect modem etc, they said NO, installer will bring it.5 days later they phone and say problem sorted out can they come out and install on 13.1.13. We applied during holidays & cancelled many lunch dates with friends and family to accommodate Helkom and now they want to come when nobody is going to be at home unless its a weekend? What do they still need to install when everything is installed. Can't they just give me my modem & let me be on my way. Why do I as a customer have to make it convenient for them every time they call, they say can we come out tomorrow & I say why not today, they say because ITS TOMORROW whether you
