Shocking account!!!

My usual account is between R400-R500 per month. I upgraded in November. The girl at Tygervalley Vodacom that helped us recommended the Nokia phone that I took then. I specifically asked her if there is any data usage things that we should put off or any apps that would run and use data on the phone. She said no there would not be. I got my account now, and my account is R1310.00!!! The data usage alone on the account is nearly R300. When I went to Eikestad Mall Vodacom in Stellenbosch, a very friendly and helpful employee told me that there must be apps running in the background, and that is what is using the data! He said I must go to a data store and ask someone to switch all that apps off. Now what was the point of asking that to the lady in Tygervalley. The exact thing that happened here now, is what we wanted to avoid! So I feel someone else must be kept responsible for the problem...! This is the last time I ever upgraded a Vodacom contract, I am definitely going to another network. (Between me and my husband, they are losing 5 contracts). Pathetic service for such a big and well known Service provider!!!
