I went into the store last month after receiving a ph bill of R2400 which normally was R1100 (i added a new line of R429 which shouldve ad up to R1529 approx) the lady pointed out my data usage was R400 and that could be the problem, she then recomended that i upgrade my acc which i did, and i switched all my data off for the rest of the month and used wat i had sparingly coz my new package only kicked in feb 01. I then get a sms from vodacom lastnyt sayin i hav 80mb remaining which was highly impossible coz i just upgraded my acc and i use my wifi at home. I called 082111 only to find out that my upgrade wasnt processed and this will only take effect march 01 should they do it over the ph. I then asked the lady how could it be possible for me to use 70mb of data in 1day and all my apps is off and i use my wifi most of the time unless its something important and im on the road. She replied "everytime u use internet the data gets used like a car uses petrol the internet uses data and when ur data is up u get billed R2 per MB"... I still cannot fathom how ridiculously expensive it is and how i ended up with a ph bill that spiked to double even after using my ph less than normal!!!
