Vodacom
Unusual high data usage

My wife upgraded at Vodacom on 5 April 2013 and chose a Samsung Galaxy S3. She also had a data package with Vodacom with 2Gig contract. We bought a Wi-Fi Router also. On 6 April 2013, we again visited Vodacom as they provided my wife with the wrong sim card. We then also asked them to assist us with the disabling of the background updates or data usage. They informed us that my wife 1st needs to create a Samsung account whereafter she can disable the apps in Play Store or something. Then on 7 April my wife connected with new phone to the Wi-Fi and downloaded 1 game and tried to download 3 songs, which failed. Sunday when I switched off the wi-fi, I noted on the screen it showed data used of 12, 5 Gig. On 8 April, we received the following SMS: "Vodacom Alert: Unusually high usage has been detected on your cellular number exceeding R10, 122-61." Long story short, they cannot tell me what the costs was for, so I did not pay them, now my account is R24, 000 outstanding and they are threatening to blacklist us. They have handed us to attorneys, but still cannot tell us what was downloaded to incur the high cost and they do not want to provide me with Ombudsmans' details. Please help!!!
