Months of Vodacom hoping I eventually stop calling

My Phone, a Sony Ericsson, has an update available from Sony. The update has not been made available to Vodacom (hereafter 'V') subscribers by V. This update was released by Sony in August and is available on other cell networks world-wide. V approved the same upgrade for 'more prestigious' S2 phones much earlier in the year
24/10-contact V customer care to enquire when this update will be available. Andre Isaac Jonkers blows me off. I reply
24/10-Andre Isaac Jonkers replies saying he made a mistake and that I can have my phone upgraded at any repair centre. I reply asking if I can't just do it myself? (which I couldn't since it wasn't available to me)
24/10-Andre Isaac Jonkers replies saying that I can do it myself. I reply
25/10-Siphokazi Kuhlane informes me that Sony has not released the update despite V instructing them to do so. I'm told to wait a day or so
13/11-I reply stating the update still is not available.
Between the 13th and 26th - lots of contradiction
26/11-I'm told it's available, it's not
28/11-Desmond Luckay tells me my phone is broken
10/12-My phone is confirmed not broken a V repair centre
11/12-My query is being escalated
27/12-being escalated
10/01/12-waiting
