Telkom mobile contacted me for a contract. No serv

I was contacted by telkom mobile and a contract purchased which was approved the 10th of December, money paid and they said phone will be delivered by the 13th of December. I phoned the 17th asking what the hold up was and was told consultant was wrong, 7 to 10 working days. I have tried 2 days now to reach the call centre, no response, no consultants contacting me as voice message promises. I phoned telkom mobile today, they can't help only promises to call back. I know its holiday season but I should have been told that the 7 to 10 working day period is not applicable. The call centre message says they are a member of direct marketing association SSP28298. This was a Christmas present for my son which has now been spoilt. If this is the service I am to expect for this 2 year contract, I'm very sorry that I made the mistake of dealing with telkom and cell direct
