Telkom mobile are advertising like crazy that they now have LTE. When I enquired about it, they said I just have to purchase the LTE sim card, which I did. The service consultant "activated" it on the system and would you believe it NO LTE! I phoned the customer helpline only to find out they have no idea what i'm talking about or what a iPhone 5 is capable of. I logged a case 6867636. After phoning back to check up on my case 15 days later I found out that they had closed the case and that was it! Then a service consultant told me that LTE is only available on Telkom Mobile routers and not any other mobile devices.
All this after I could not send a simple SMS from my phone for 8 months. They actually had the audacity of saying that everyone with an iPhone 5 could not send a SMS across all the SA networks...
If i had know, that for 8 months no of my 24 month contract, i would not be able to send a SMS or not have LTE when it got launched, I would have definitely NOT GOTTEN a Telkom Mobile contract!!!
Counting down the days till my contract is done...
