On the 2nd of Dec I took out a 24 month cell phone contract at the Vodacom store. The consultant refused to give me a copy of my contract at p.o.s. Told her I needed to read it but refused. On the 7th of Dec '13 I then returned to the store as I had problems with the hadset brought it back in good condition (it couldn't sync with iTunes, bluetooth & etc.) I asked the consultant if I could change it for another and they refused. I decided to cancel my contract and they again refused as they claimed they don't cancel contracts and the CPA Rule doesn't apply to them. I phoned the call centre and they told me I could cancel it and that I was still within my 14 day period to do so. On the 9th the store manager called me to apologise and offered me different handsets I could get but at the time when I was at the store I was told a different story! I refused the offer and told him I wanted to cancel it instead. I spoke to a lot of people from the call centre and I'm still waiting for feedback! I must say (Bongani - cancellations dept) has been a great help so far! Thank you. I need this cancelled ASAP as I don't want to be debited for a phone I do not have and isn't working properly.
