In August Vodacom Direct phoned me to sell me a new top-up contract. They assured me that I could get my current prepaid number transferred to the contract after the handset was delivered. 1st - it took 6 weeks to get delivery right. After that, I used the handset for some time (with my prepaid no) before phoning to get the number transferred on to the contract. I was then informed that this was impossible, but that my query would be referred. After no response for weeks, I phoned them again to hear that my query was still pending. Then, on the 19th November, a courier company arrived to pick up my "faulty" handset. I phoned customer care again, to be told that they would again escalate my complaint. This was on 19/11/2013.
It seems that either Vodacom Direct to me to make a sale, or Vodacom customer services are completely incompetent.
I have no use for a contract on a new number, as the prepaid number is the one that we have used for years. I just want them to fulfill the conditions under which I agreed to buy the contract, as I have now been paying for 4 months for a sim and contract that I don't want to use.
