After 3 days simswop still not activated

My phone was on Friday 13 Dec 2013. I had a sim swop done at about 14h00 on Friday. They said between 2 to 24 hours it will be activated. My husband phoned them on Saturday the 14th. They told me to remove the sim card wait 15 minutes and retry. I did that. Still no activation on Saturday. The same thing for Sunday the 16th. On Monday the 17th he phoned customer care again. Stil nothing. He went to our local MTN store and they phoned me to say that they had some problems and it will be fixed during the course of the afternoon. I should keep trying every 2 hours. It is now the 18th and my simcard is still not activated. I feel as a customer of nearly 20 years that this is absolutely not acceptable! I wish to cancel my contract. But it will coat me over R5000 to do so. I have lost photography deals because of my phone not activated and this is really frustrating!
