Vodacom
LACK OF INFORMATION SUPPLIED TO CUSTOMER

I took out a Vodacom contract on a BlackBerry in November 2011. I have been paying R443 per month including BIS of R59 per month.

Issue 1
I went to Vodacom to book in my phone for repairs which I was told the warranty has expired since I had an upgrade two months prior to contract expiry date (a practice promoted and initiated by Vodacom). My current contract only expires in 1 Feb however my phone cannot be booked for repairs.

Issue 2
I have a recent top up contract with Vodacom since the sim card used for contract in Issue 1 is my primary number - due to issue 1 not being resolved I decided to insert my sim card from the blackberry phone that wont be fixed as per issue 1 into the phone (Samsung mini s3) that I took in the recent contract. Upon doing so I had no notification from vodacom that by removing this sim card from a blackberry to a Samsung - any internet use will be charged for at R1 per MB. This has resulted in my sim accumulating about R490 just on data usage.

I am a loyal customer of Vodacom - paying on average R1 600 per month on my cellphone contracts and I must say due to these 2 issues - I will be cancelling all my contracts as they dont act in good faith.
