I have taken out two contacts from MTN Overport CIty (The Atrium). The staff & manager VISHNU are very helpful when a contract upgrade is requested but when things go wrong you get the cold shoulder.
A contract was taken for a Sony Xperia V & Sony Xperia Z. The Sony Xperia Z was found to be a troublesome phone & was sent back to MTN on 18th of November 2013, up until today the handset has not been replaced!
I was referred to deal Directly with the operations manager RESHMA [Email Removed] & was very hopeful in thinking my problem will be resolved by hire management.
I was then inform that MTN does not have stock of the SONY Xepria Z, then can not order from supplier & have no idea when the will have stock!!
(This gives me the impression that MTN does not support the product they sell & that all clients that purchase a Sony Xperia Z have guarantees that are not supported by MTN for replacements)
MTN is only willing to offer me an inferior model or I pay a cash diference for an equivalent model yet I am the one being inconvenience by the Network provider.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM SUCH A BIG BRAND IN SA & TO SEE 37 COMPLIANTS IS NOT SHOCKING!!!
