I handed in my handset at the Vodacom shop at the V&A Waterfront 2 weeks ago. Since handing it in, I have not received ONE call to update me on the status, the nature of the fault or give me the quotation I was promised in 2 working days.
I have had to use my personal time to phone every single contact I could, from the disastrously managed, rude, useless staff at the Waterfront store, to the repairs call centre which basically told me it's in for repairs and no quote is available. I kind of knew that already...
I'm not sure if Vodacom treats all it's customers with this kind of lack of respect, or if I'm just really lucky. I would like to mention specifically Herman (The manager, if you can call him that, clearly he is not managing...) was probably the most useless, condescending and unaccommodating individual I have had the
displeasure of dealing with, actually told me it's not their problem and that I must phone the repair centre. The repair centre told me to phone the store.
You won't care if you lose me as a client, because you're a giant company, you won't miss me from your bottom line, but it's exactly THAT attitude that has been the downfall of many industry leaders!
