I entered into a new contract on 3 Janaury specifically because the contract offered the 4G network access (which runs at 10Mbps in my area). I did not want access to the 3G configuration. Part of the reason for upgrading was receiving 3x1GB per month data that I would use on the 4G network.
Over the last 10 days the phone disconnects from the vodacom network for no apparent reason and requires rebooting (frustrating considering its a new phone).
Fourways Vodacom's official reponse was that I should revert to 3G as 4G is having problems. I accept this but, in terms of the contract I entered into - I wanted 4G and I cannot use it now due to Vodacom issues, I want the 3x1GB to only be activated at such time as I can use the 4G without problems to my phone. Vodacom this is breach of contract. Think of it like this - If I buy a BMW 5-series, don't give me the 3-series. I want my contract cancelled in terms of breach on Vodacom's part, or the 3x1GB shelved until 4G is fully operational and not disconnecting my phone from network.
Vodacom shop is a franchise and so won't help. I request support from Vodacom proper... not the unhelpful Vodacom shop.
Any Vodacom directors reading this?
