Reactive attitude over Galaxy S4 Battery issue

After calling Vodacom in Pavilion - i was told to go to the Gateway branch to sort out my S4 where the battery dies at 50% and now when ever it feels like it. This is a well known problem. I missioned there, only to be told that there are no batteries in stock to replace mine.
I asked if i could be called when one is available - the answer was no, that i must keep calling to check. I am paying almost half a grand a month with no working phone and clearly a lack of service! I asked if the battery could be delivered to Pavilion as Gateway is far for me - only to be told no, i have to bring it back to Gateway so they can be sure its the battery. This Samsung issue is well known - stock should be kept all the time. Reading the complaints on this site, it seems i'm not the only one having this problem.
I'm disappointed that Vodacom has no't been proactive in this whatsoever and that instead of being the best service provider they're basically saying 'tough takkies - sort yourself out". I have a dead phone - what am i paying for?
