I have an Samsung S4 phone with a swollen battery. I went to the Samsung outlet in Vodaworld. A service advisor had a look at my phones battery and confirmed that it was one of the affected batteries. He then asked me how I got the phone, when I told him that it was through Vodacom on a contract, he proceeded to pull up his shoulders and say that it then is Vodacom's problem to sort out. The entire internet is filled with articles on how Samsung acknowledges that there is a problem with some batteries and that they will exchange it for free, yet in practice it is a whole different story! Absolutely poor from Samsung SA!!!
