I just tested my Tablet that I have had for almost 2 years and found it to be sim locked.
When calling the call centre, I got confirmation that this is still standard practice.
I was keen on upgrading and using this older device on another network, instead, Cell C just lost a contract.
I just gave the cancellation instruction.
a little disappointing... I thought CellC would try keep clients with good service, not try force them by locking devices.
