I recently applied for a smart device (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3) through FNB. I received the device on Tuesday 26 October 2013 in the morning and it came with a Cell C sim card. Up until today and numerous calls to the support number given, the sim card is still not active and i cant do anything with the device. What the call centre agents tell me is that they are not will send a request to have the sim activated but when I call the Cell C call centre I only find an automated response with no option for FNB smart devices or the option to speak to an agent. Why must it take so long to activate a sim card, 72 hours, when other networks do that in less than 6 hours? I dont think FNB should risk their good reputation by partnering with a problematic service provider such as Cell C, I know this because I've been on the Cell C network for a good number of years.
FNB, I am etxremely dissappointed with the service I am recieving regarding the smart device deals. I hope this will not spill over to the rest of the company.
Hope my complain will not fall on deaf ears.
