Poor service to existing account holder

As an existing Vodacom subscriber, I approached the above Vodacom outlet, in the hopes of obtaining a data contract on the 31st of October 2013 (The 2Gb Data, w/ USB for R89). I was advised by a disinterested assistant that even though I was an existing account holder, I needed to verify my credentials and undergo a credit verification, which I duly agreed to. At no point was I advised of any potential issues which may affect the product offering I wished to sign up for.

A week later, I visited the premises again, having not received any sort of notification whatsoever - this already was extremely poor service given that my cellphone number was known to them and at the bare minimum, an SMS notice of status could have been send. I was told by the same individual that I would be contacted - which I was not.

10 days later, I revisited the shop only to be told by this same so-called assistant (a) he had contacted me (not!) & (b) that because I had not signed anything, I will now have to pay a higher price for the contract as that offer was not longer valid. At no point was I advised of this sooner which is pathetic. I will rather go to a proper Vodacom outlet than this excuse.
