To Whom it may concern,
I live in Waverley and use a 4mbps line, with a SnR of 10dB and attenuation of 27dB, which is cutting it extremely close for a 4mbps line. I have had several technicians here throughout the year - no one could resolve the bad noise/attenuation issue.
There are other people in Waverley that have perfect DSL service, even some who have now, recently, been upgraded from 4mbps to 10mbps. On the site [URL Removed] it clearly shows the Waverley exchange is capable of 10mbps, but the last mile between the exchange and my house is in such a bad state, I can't get 10mbps. So, what, should I move to a new house or suburb to get 10mbps, or should Telkom perhaps fulfill their "upgrade of infrastructure and installations of MSAN's" promise? Neotel or a 3G solution is becoming a very attractive alternative then just simply accepting "it is what it is". If other people in Waverley can have 10mbps, why can't I?
Regards,
Adriaan
