The case of the missing data

For 7 years I've been a costumer of AltechAutopage. My monthly bill for 2GB data was R129pm and if I exceeded my limit my bill seldom exceeded R166. On 22 September I updated my account to R 99 for 2GB. This new deal was to be activated on 1 January 2014. At the end of September 2013 I received a bill of R676.37 and R1055.81 at the end of October. I went to the Menlyn office to inquire about the astronomical bills. They sent an inquiry to head office. A Brian Malaika e-mailed me and stated that I had used up my data. I requested itemized billing. On the September bill I noticed that all my 2GB data had been used up between 22 September to 27 September (five days!), after which I was billed every time I went on line during October. I then went to the Glen Village branch where I showed the agent the discrepancies on hard copies. They again sent an inquiry to head office with a promise that I would be contacted in 24 hours. A week later I decided to terminate my contract paying a penalty amount of R732.48. At least this was cheaper than paying R1055 monthly for data by someone else. BE CAREFUL WHEN RENEWING CONTRACTS!
