At the end of September I took out a new contract that included a Blackberry 9720. I wanted to port a number and had to wait until mid-November to do so. In the meanwhile I would have to use my prepaid number in the phone until the contract line was activated. This was explained and fully understood by me. I opted not to use the phone until the line was activated, but out of curiosity I inserted my prepaid SIM into the unit two weeks ago. The phone had problems from the offset. I took it to the Cresta Repair Centre and the unit was booked in. I was not eligible for a replacement phone as more than 7 days had passed since the unit was delivered. Although a bit unfair, I understand this part too. It has been 2 weeks since the phone has been booked in. Whenever I call, the agents at the Repair Centre says the phone isn't being repaired because they're waiting for spares from Head Office. For two weeks??? Its highly annoying having a phone in for repairs BEFORE the contract actually begins. Please attend to this matter urgently.
