No repair centre or loan device

I've been a loyal Vodacom Customer for many years and have 4 contracts with them, two cell phones a 3G dongle and a R205 wi-fi router. I took out the contract for the router about 2-3 months ago and about a week ago the power button on the side stopped working. I couldn't switch it on or off or check on the screen for battery life and data used, this wasn't such a big problem cause all I had to do was plug the charger in and the screen will come on, but yesterday I forgot to charge it and the battery died and there is no way to switch it back on.
This morning I took it to the walk-in centre in Greenacres, just to be told that they have to send it in for repairs and will most probable have to exchange the unit, but it has to go to JHB, so I asked why cant they just exchange it as its only two months old or give me a loan unit as I use this for work as well as personal stuff, so this lady offered me a USB router witch wouldn't work for me because I use it on my phone as well as my laptop, so she phoned her manager "Chris" and he just told her there is nothing he can do I have to book it in.
