New Blackberry Q5 taken out on a contract stopped working after five weeks. Returned it to Cresta who said it may be a software issue. Proved not to be the case and sent for advanced repairs. Two weeks later (with no loan phone) I was asked to collect an exchange unit. This was taken out of a drawer where it had been rammed in with many others (obviously returns). I asked the lady if I needed to charge it for 16 hours to which she replied "yes they have new batteries". At this point I realised she knew nothing as the Q5 has an integral battery. The exchange didn't work - led didnt stop flashing. Clearly this unit had been returned for this reason. The whole process started a second time, software checked, sent to advanced repair centre. Now 3 weeks without a phone on a contract currently two months old. Spoke to Sarah this morning who tells me she will request brand new phone when this has been assessed to make sure it can't be fixed. No guarantees here. Why should I get second hand repaired phone that couldn't be fixed in the first place and after my own phone couldn't be fixed either? What about a new phone and a reimbursement of funds - the least you could do.
