On 20-8-2011 I entered into a weekend contract for my son and received a Blackberry 9300E with BIS for internet access. In Feb 2012 I noticed an increase of approx R 800 in the account which Autopage informed me was for downloading. uTube was deleted from the phone when I received it and my son only used it for browsing and downloading "Free" apps. After fruitless phonecalls I visited H/O and thereafter the Brooklyn Pta branch numerous times. The phone was sent in for repairs and while we had a loan handset from Brooklyn there were NO GPRS charges!! As soon as we got the original phone back, it started again. Back to Brooklyn.. The handset was replaced on 6-9-12 because it did not register BIS, according to the jobcard. On my January 2013 account there was a R 780.33 charge for GPRS again! In this month I have made approx 10 calls and only get the same response - downloading, charges are valid. When asking to speak to a manager, no response at all. I do have two other contracts, both with Blackberries and BIS, we Twitter, browse, download... NO GPRS CHARGES ARE LEVIED ON THESE PHONES!!! Please somebody tell me why?? I was also promised to be credited and only got BIS credit?
