Upgrade fail

Got a cold call from cell c about two weeks ago. It was well timed as I was thinking of upgrading.
I agreed to upgrade. It was mutually beneficial. I was on a month on month package, and was going to more than double my spend to them. They get my commitment for two years, and give me a phone.
The phone and new sim arrived a few days later. But, when the sim activated, it was a new number, and not an upgrade as intended.
I informed them a week ago, and followed up midweek. They are still to resolve this.
I'm disappointed. First that the mistake happened, and also that it's not yet fixed.
I now have the original number, and another, costing me over double the first.
They must wake up there... I'm not sure it's a good idea to upgrade through their call centre.
