Insurance on vodacom contract

On 1st September my fiance upgrade her one cellphone contract to a top up my gig 2 at hi cell vodacom in checkers hyper centre.

The lady assisting us (Leonie) asked us if we would like to take insurance on the Sony Xperia Tablet. At first my fiance said no. But I told her that it would be better to take it as this is a high risk item.

So the papers was signed.

On the 23 October the tablet got in a branch where I was working. When she phoned vodacom to notify them and stop the simcard, and ask about the insurance. They told her that there was no insurance on the account.

Thabang the manager there with a very bad attitude told her that we must wait 48 hours for them to get the papers from vodacom. So we waited.

A week went past and still nothing. So I went to Thabang on the 2nd of Nov and he still couldn't give me any feedback whatsoever. Then he told me that I should give him time until the 4th and that I should phone him. I refused and said that he is the person that must notify me of what is going on. It is now the 5th and still no word from Thabang.

I need assistance in this matter as I work with the tablet daily at work and I am not getting any response.
