Vodacom
Claim for insurance

On the 4th febuary I opened a new laptop contract with vodacom. The following day on the 5th the laptop got damaged by my sisters daugther. I took the laptop to vodacom the same day of the incident, the store manager told me that she applied insurance for me, due to stress I did not fill in an insurance form or sign for any papers at all, then she told me after 7 working days Il get a new laptop. Its been 3 weeks now and ive not received a laptop. For the past 3 weeks they told me its due to delievery but il get the laptop. Today on the 13th march i went to the shop and the asked me to fill in an insurance claim form and claim it was lost/ instead of damaged. i refused. Then they told me if i claim damaged il only get my laptop after 18 days and that is only if their people can fix it. i called their head office and reported the matter they give a referance no S3-PKT2E-E44-IV they will call me within 24hrs. I called the vodacom insurance deprt, i was told the insuance was only put through on the 3rd march 2013 and according to their contract policy they should have given me a new laptop under warranty even if i did not apply for insurance and what the store is doing is.
