What is the point of insurance with vodacom

I got a Samsung tablet with 3 gig option AND insurance, the service was excellent as it was a sale. Sadly i got robbed at a garage and my phone and tablet taken. I immediately stopped the number and got a case number and account of what happened from the garage owner as i was not the first victim there. I contacted Vodacom and was told they will not honour the insurance and i must pay not only for the tab but the 2 year data contract i can't use plus insurance. Now not only was i in great distress by the crime as well but treated rudely and without any help from Vodacom. They won't even give me the customer liaison managers number at headoffice. I feel victimized all over again. What is the point of insurance then? I did not ask to be robbed. I cannot believe the attitude of the manager that they won't want to compromise or let me pay the 10% and get another tablet and continue the contract or even dismiss the contract at least. No help. Shame on you Vodacom, being a young woman and having this experience is bad enough. You made it worse. Disgusted.
