I've recently signed up or Afrihost's mobile internet service (which is provided by way of MTN). As it turns out my MTN signal at home is so weak that in order to connect at all I have to hang the modem outside on my security gate, and even then the signal strength is so low it doesn't register as even one bar.

I e-mailed Afrihost on 8 October to report the problem and got a very quick response suggesting that I change some of the settings on the device - which had no effect.

It's become clear that it seems to be an MTN problem, but since I am paying for a service from Afrihost I expect support to come from them. I have sent a number of e-mails to follow up on the situation, and was advised that a call had been logged with MTN but that no feedback had been received yet.

Not having heard anything further I e-mailed Afrihost on 25 October, and having received no response, again on 1 November. To date I have still not even received a confirmation of receipt.

I had heard good things about Afrihost's customer support but to do have experienced no evidence of this. I am extremely disappointed with this situation and am going to be left with no alternative but to cancel.
