I went to Telkom to enquire how much I owed and settled the amount the cashier told me I owed. When I got home I realized my husband had paid this amount a few days earlier and went back to ask for a refund. I was told this was not possible and a dispute will be lodged which wouldvtake 2 to 3 days and then I would be contacted by the credit department who will send me some paperwork before I got my money back. The cashier did not even apologize for their mistake and just gave me a rude stare when I asked why I should go through all this trouble for a mistake they had made. Service delivery? A foreign concept to telkom uitenhage. This is the second time I have had problems with getting a refund from telkom. After complaining on social media I discovered Jubilee Park Primary school also struggled with such incompetence before. This is unacceptable. It's time individuals working at local businesses take accountability.
