I closed my account and paid all money owed to them. 6 Months later i tried to buy a car and was told i"m on ITC for R353 owed to Telkom. When i contacted Telkom to find out why i owe them money i was told that they are very sorry it was their mistake. I was told it would be rectified and they send me a letter that stated the money was "Paid in full" although i never paid them any money because they told me it was their mistake and told me the letter was send to ITC also and it will be removed from ITC in 9 days. I left it at that and today i applied for a study loan for my son for University and was told i had a default on my ITC credit record and can not get a loan. Telkom send the wrong information to ITC. I have twice been made to look like a fool who dont pay his accounts because of Telkom. I phoned Trans union and was told it will stay on my name for 24 months unless Telkom send a request to have it fixed. I phoned Telkom and was told they will have a look at it.
