Cellphone Contract Initiated

A cellphone contract with the account number I3774695 was initiated at the Vodacare Canal Walk on 2013-10-13, and this application was approved on 2013-10-14.

On Sunday 2013-10-20, I received an sms indicating that my bank account had been debited for a sum of R436. Upon inquiring further I then established that the debit was for a Vodacom Cellphone Contract installment. I also became aware that a cellphone contract account was initiated at the Vodacare in Canal Walk on 2013-10-13 and approved on 2013-10-14. This contract was approved despite the fact that glaringly fake documents were used to effect this process. (I once had a cellphone contract with Vodacom which I terminated sometime in July 2013). Vodacom promised that they were going to investigate this issue and they indicated that they will not be terminating the contract in order to facilitate the investigation. It's been two weeks now since I have been aware of this activity and I have not received any feedback from Vodacom. What is even more worrying is that my TransUnion account still shows that I have an active contract with Vodacom, This is a reflection of poor prevention.
