Last year I started receiving statement from Vodacom regarding a cellphone contract. I called to tell them I'm receiving statements in my name but I haven't taken any contract with them. They'll investigate and follow up. The statements stopped coming, so I thought it was sorted. Last week I received a call form their debt collectors that they handed over my ID number for collection. I told them I never had contract with Vodacom. I called Vodacom and they refused to give me details about the number and the contract. Until today I don't even know that cellphone number.
And it is not in my credit report that I received from Transunion in 27 February 2013. I really don't understand how did Vodacom get hold of my ID and information.
