96 hours to port a number?

Surely 96 hours to port a number is excessive? At 13:30 on Tuesday I was told it would take 4 to 5 hours. It is now 14:55 on Friday and no phone call, no ported number, no nothing. Did I make a huge mistake changing from MTN to Vodacom?
