NO ASSISTANCE IN PORTING NR FROM VODACOM TO CELL C

I have tried perhaps thousands of times to port my number from Vodacom to Cell C, without as much as ANY smallest piece of assistance. At first CELL C told me that it will take 48 hours for them to listen to the recording to confirm if I have requested my number to be ported. But why isn't it assumed that the number will be ported from one contract to the next. Why would I want to change my number when it takes ages to let your contacts know what your number is? What about business cards that needs to be changed?

It has now been a week since I requested to port my number wihtout ANYBOBODY phoning me or telling me that they have listened to the recording to confirm that I did request a port! How long does it take to listen to a recording?
