Got told I cant open a new contract

Hi. I went through to MTN in the checkers centre in brackenhurst last week and I brought through all the required documents. I then got a call the next day saying that my bank account that I wanted to use was closed when it clearly says on my bank statements that money is moving in and out of my account. I then suggested that they use my card number to set up a debit order and the gent on the phone said ok and proceeded to end the call when he didnt even have my card number. I am still waiting for a response. Nashua mobile at the glen pre approved my last mtn contract the same day
