Tried to port Vodacom (V) nr to Cell C. V cancelled my nr. Team leader at V's cancellation dept said the number was deleted since I ticked 'no' to the question 'Do you want to retain your number on prepaid'. I explained that as an outsider the question about prepaid had nothing to do with porting failing an explanation to this affect by V. He said that if I did not understand the prepaid question I should have phoned them. I explained that it had nothing to do with whether I understood the question. He said that somebody else would get back to me, nobody did. I phoned customer care & cancellations dept many times - disconnected most times. I told one consultant I want to speak to a senior and did not want to be put on hold - I was put on hold, subsequently cut off.
On Th I sent complaint to [Email Removed] I have not been contacted by anybody yet. I phoned customer care today to confirm where to submit complaint, consultant could not assist. After being disconnected again I spoke to new consultant. Told me to submit complaint to [Email Removed] I am unfamiliar with V's other businesses. When I phoned the nr provided I was told that I was now at Vodacomlife
