I have been having such a mission porting a number from Vodacom and all as a result of a system error on Vodacom's side and requests to Vodacom IT Dept to rectify this not being actioned.
I have requested a business account to be cancelled and the number transferred to prepaid status. Somewhere along the line the number 0726006903 has been deleted from the system and for a week now I have been trying to get the number Rica'ed instore so as to be able to get the number ported to another network.
I have been to the store a number of times and being in email contact with cancellations dept at Vodacom and still am awaiting the IT department to rectify the status of the number and am now going in to week 2 of being without a phone which is causing me great inconvenience.
Two references have been provided to me: EC-ZHWJ-2Q61JO and 5822223 (Service Call) and I am still waiting some sort of response in getting this cleared up.
