This doesn’t make any sense!

I'm currently on a BlackBerry Talk 100 contract, costing R349 a month. I want to upgrade to get the new iPhone 5 but my contract only ends in Feb 2014. I use the 100minutes within the first week of the month, so I was looking at a contract where I get more minutes and I don't end up paying way more. I was told by the call centre I can upgrade my package as long as it's a higher value. Sure, I'll take the iPhone 500s contract for R925 a month so I get 500 minutes. The R925 includes the iPhone if you take out a new contract (no handset fee worked into the contract) but because I'm upgrading early I will not get the handset?! The handset is FREE if anyone else takes out the contract, but not to me. This doesn't make any sense?

So I have to take out another contract just to get the iphone includes, or go and buy an iPhone cash at the Apple Store and upgrade my call package to the iPhone package (but I'm losing out on the phone?) Ridiculous if you ask me!
