Misrepresentation and Breach of Contract

My contract with MTN expired in October. I wished to upgrade to the new iPhone, but I was informed that due to the fact that it had not been released yet, I could migrate to a straight 200 package with out any contract until the new iPhone was released. I specifically enquired if there was any cancellation or notification period, or if there would be any costs incurred if I cancelled the migration once the new iPhone had arrived. I was told emphatically that I could cancel completely with MTN at any time and move to a new provider if I wished, or could upgrade as soon as the iPhone came out. I decided to upgrade and stay with MTN once it came out last week, however I was informed today that there is now a 3 month waiting period for the upgrade. My conversation was recorded where I was clearly told that I could upgrade immediately, or choose to cancel with immediate effect as my contract had already expired in Oct. I actually have the ref no for that conversation. I am livid by this gross misrepresentation of information. I no longer wish to stay with MTN. Please fix this mess immediately!
