Waiting contract approval

My fiancee went and applied for a contract with MTN pinecrest on friday afternoon, we where told it could take 2 days but then later told we would probably be contacted on Saturday
we are still waiting for a response from MTN we tried to contact the store today but the don't answer their phone and we called 0831233032, the lady was slightly helpful but then told my fiancee to call 0831236091 but that number does't work.
Why do MTN take so long to do a credit check when 8ta, vodacom and cellC take less than 2 hours to approve the contract. if we do not hear back by tomorrow we will be canceling and going to vodacom
