Phone under warranty, refusal to repair/replace

Our company has an active account with various contracts with Vodacom. One of the Iphone 5 seem to have a problem with the charging point has broken off thus only charging when the cable is inserted in a specific manner, and there is corrision on the inside. We have sent it in to be repaired, however, feedback received indicated that the phone could not be repaired. We have a 2nd Iphone 5 that has the same problem with the charging point, and only charges when you put the cable in a specific way. We believe there is manufacturing problem with the phone, which you seem to not be able to fix. Yet we are expected to pay for a refurbished 2nd hand phone, that comes with no warranty?? How many other I Phone 5's have the same problem? The phone itself is very expensive, and your advice was that we needed to claim it from our insurer? that is ridiculous! You as our service provider should be able to assist and advise on a suitable solution. The phone has been gone for close to a month now. We would the phone replaced please. nothing else.
