On Saturday 21st September, I ordered a 3G Sim (2GB/month) from the Vodacom website. It stated it would be next day delivery. Order: Y1255309
Now with it being Friday, i have had to phone vodacom to ask for the status.
The vodacom sales team says that their courier company tried and failed to deliver it as there was no-one at the address for my name. However, there was no call to me to confirm delivery address at that point, there was no call to me confirm my delivery address after. I am an existing vodacom customer, why was my cell phone number not called? Perhaps if you implemented something like this, you might have more successful deliveries, and less irate customers?
So the Dodacom sales person told me that i must phone the courier company on Monday and sort it out myself. Is this normal advice? A a loyal vodacom customer with many contracts, i expect a better customer service. I now do not have any data to use this weekend. I have to spend R59 on 250mb of data on my cellphone so that i can work this weekend. Will vodacom re-imburse me for the lack of service?
