I recently lost my phone which had my mtn simcard in it. I didn't use the simcard often used it mostly for receiving calls. I tried calling MTN to do a sim swap i could not validate the number i last called with the consultant so they advised that i go to the police station to do an affidavit and send a certified copy of my ID to them. I went to MTN maponya mall with the documents they faxed the documents, I was advised by the agent at Maponya that i should call the call centre on Monday after 24hrs to confirm the sim swap, initially when i called the agent told me they had not received the documents, when i called again the second agent told me that the documents were incomplete and she could not even tell me what was missing, I called in again later on Monday the final agent told me that they had the documents but there were thing missing when i asked what she kept on referring to the affidavit telling me that there were thing missing on it and every time she said something it was actually something that i had already stated on the affidavit does MTN even have a proper process for things like this, if anyone from MTN knows what i need to send please call me.
