2 months ago, I received an invoice from MTN for a cellphone contract I never took out. I contact MTN and they stated this happens "all the time" and all I need to do is fax them a copy of the invoice, a certified copy of my ID and a police affidavit stating this contract is and this would be resolved within 24hrs. I did so over a month ago, and assumed everything has been resolved
On the 26th June 2013 I applied to increase my FNB overdraft and was rejected. FNB stated that they could not grant me this due to "misconduct on credit bureau" relating to MTN. I contact MTN, and they stated that I had never contacted them, nor had I faxed them any affidavit, ID etc. they stated I need to email all my documents through and they will resolve in 24hrs. I sent through everything and now they state that my stamp on my affidavit (which is how the affidavit was given to me at the seapoint police station) is too light and I must re-do my affidavit. All the while I am unable to secure neither an overdraft nor a home load whilst this process drags onThe affidavit I received was directly from the police yet MTN refuse to accept it. it is clearly legible
