I have been a good MTN customer for the past 6 Years, and I have never had a problem until I took a contract last year July 2012. I purchased a Nokia Lumia 900 from MTN Direct for R369.00 Contract every month. Then in February 2013 I was overcharged and called MTN to make thm aware that they didn't discounted off the Broadband and CLI Charges, I was promised that this will be corrected in my next billing. To my surprise I was charged R405.99 in March, R470.69 in April, R405.99 in May, R405.99 in June, R407.49 in July and R406.48 in August. I acknowledge that Credit Notes have been passed on my account but this doesn't mean that MTN did not breach a contract.
MTN has breached the contract as per the signed contract agreement. They have recently send me letters notifying me that they are going to cancel the contract and I will be liable for early cancellation fees, because I refused to pay the July and August invoices because I never agreed to pay R405.99.
They have also cancelled my outgoing calls and I have perceived this as the abuse of power and resources. I have lodged complaints for 6 Months and nothing was done, I didn't make payment for 2 Months I am threatened.
