I lost almost R400 worth of airtime

I loaded airtime on Saturday 14/09/2013 one R275 and R29, I made about 3 calls and and a few messages, I bough 250 worth of data for my internet services, today I got a message that my data was finished at about 1 o'clock I try buying data and I get an alert that I don't have airtime available, what happened to my R300 worth of airtime? I phone Vodacom and I was told that the airtime was consumed by the phone, how the? like R300 how somebody better explain, thats pathetic, what the does my data have to do with my airtime?
