Yesterday 08/09/2013 @ around 11am I went to the Telkom Office at The Glen to try get a prepaid Telkom mobile sim card. I had looked at your coverage map before going and it appears that I may just miss your 3G network.

In store the ladies that assisted me seemed clueless as to how to find my address. I told then to try zoom the map endless times but they kept doing their own thing which meant they couldn't find my address. (Staff incompetence or computer program???)

When it came to RICA the sim they also seemed clueless and were continually asking the mobile consultant for info. He already had 2 annoyed clients waiting and he was being harassed by the 2 females who didn't know a thing and it appeared as it there was no structure in helping clients in the order they arrived.

I eventually left and wondered it this was worth the hassle. I already live in an area that Telkom has no interest in getting the services upgraded. We never even got as far as ISDN let alone ADSL or 3G. Our land lines get repaired and usually out within a week again and dial up modems don't cope with the scratchy lines. I've given up phoning for repairs and rather diverted my line to my Vodacom cellphone
